Scale Slut

I'm a total tramp for my scale. I can't get enough. Every day, twice-daily at least.

Yesterday she rewarded me - I magically dropped 2 pounds, and I hadn't even worked out at the gym the day prior. This morning? She gave me the pimp-hand, and friends, her pimp-hand is strong. Up two pounds. My scale, she's a fickle bitch and I'm her whore.

Guess I shouldn't have eaten those salty chips yesterday.

That's hilarious! Prior Fat Girl had hers hidden from her last night maybe you should try the same until weigh in day :)

It has too much power!

Yeah my pimp is always trying to tell me to turn more tricks. She says if I would I might get more clients. Anyway I can totally relate.

I have come to the point were I do not thinks it is such a bad thing to whore around with your scale, as long as you don't take the realtions to serious. Don't let her break your heart, but jump on her all you like.

I found out werid stuff from being a whore myself, like I gain weight after I shower everytime --- like 2 pounds and thats after drying my short hair. I guess I am a sponge. Obviously you weigh more after big meals and later in the day and less after a bathroom run.

I set Wednesdays as my offical weigh in day to keep track of progress and that is the only number I worry about. I got on the scale today and I am up .6 pounds in 2 days. Its bull crap, I have not messed up much except I had more sodium yesterday so maybe its temporary water. I feel confident when I get on the scales Wednesday it will be down, unless I make a major detour by then.

So jump on them scales all you want, just focus on the weekly trends not daily or mid-daily. Your doing great overall and you know it.

BTW: Ask some superfit, not super skinny, person how often they weigh. Most will say every morning.

LOL - you have me roaring over here with your choice of words. I'm afraid I would be the same way if I owned a scale. For now, I've been able to just weigh-in once a week at my WW meetings.

I weigh myself every day but not because I want to see the numbers go down (okay, I do). But I am really trying to recondition myself to be able to see that the scale never tells the whole story. I know the number every day, but when my clothes are looser or I am able to jog more then I know that there is more going on that just that stupid number on the scale.

Don't shoot the messenger! The scale is not to blame. It's definitely the salt-alicious chips' fault! ;)

I can relate too. It's so frustrating. Hey, would you like to exchange links with me? I write articles about dieting, fitness, nutrition that may be helpful...
