Last night was a 3 hour Lost marathon to kick off the new season - love it! I invited a couple people over and ordered some pizza and turned on the TV and settled in. I knew that I was eating outside... outside what? Plan? No. Diet? Not really, I'm not on a diet. I'm not sure what word it is that I'm searching for here. I don't restrict myself in terms of what I can and cannot eat. That doesn't work for me. I obsess about that which is forbidden until I find myself binging on Big Macs or whatever. So for me part of this is controlling my portions and doing the right thing when it comes to making healthy choices, but not restricting myself and allowing me to enjoy whatever food I'd like to when I feel like it.
So I ordered Green Mill pizza and an appetizer. I had one soda. I didn't go nuts. I'm up a pound this morning. So be it. I had a fine time last night and don't regret a thing. Plus? I went to the gym this morning. The 260s aren't too far away...

I know about obsessing - it's tough. I always thinkg, "balance grasshopper" when the obsessing thoughts invade....lol...
By the by - I made a revised weightwatcher pizza receipe - I used buterball turkey italian sausages and it was YUMMY pizza - I didn't use sauce but put big huge slices of tomato on the bottom instead...mixed in some FF ricotta cheese and 2% cheese with the sausauge and portabello mushrooms...topped with shallots and peppers....okay, now I'm hungry for pizza.
Sometimes I find that I just need to have a few slices of pizza just to feel normal. Especially when I have friends around.
Glad you aren't too disappointed about being up a lb but you get to drink a crap load of water and its fun watching the numbers go down.
Im jealous on two fronts the pizza and Lost. I still have it sitting on my DVR waiting for me!
I agree, the Lost premiere was pretty amazing. Green Mill pizza sounds pretty tasty.
It is nice to not put any crazy restrictions on yourself. I find that when I make something not such a BIG DEAL- it isn't!
Congrats on the portion control.
I'm looking forward to this season of Lost, since they promised more answers than questions!
